I believe in purposeful action. 42Forward began as a simple idea: combine the passion of travel and running with the power of giving back. A marathon is 42 kilometers, so why not use each kilometer to spark positive change? My goal is to inspire others to explore the world responsibly and leave each place a little better than we found it.
It’s a pretty straightforward formula: I (and anyone who joins me) run a 42 km route mapped out in a local area, often partnering with a small school or community center. For every kilometer, we commit to donating an item or a unit of aid – totaling 42 by the finish line. For example, a marathon in a rural village might end with 42 backpacks filled with school supplies given to the students, or 42 food packages delivered to families in need. We work closely with local leaders to ensure we’re donating items that truly help. The result is an unforgettable run and a direct, visible impact at the finish
Joining me on a marathon is the best way to support the project, we instantly double our donation and it only grows from there. Honestly I am no athlete, I truly believe we are capable of more than we think. A marathon sounds daunting but with a little dedication and training I promise you can do it.
If lacing up for 42 kilometers truly isn’t your thing, you can still support the project. Either through donation or buying merch.
100% of monetary donations go to support the local communities, whether it is a few dollars or more your support creates real change and a real difference in the world.
A portion of merch sales will go toward the communities, the rest helps me keep this project alive as well as pay for the logistics of physical products. No matter how you choose to donate, you will be supporting this project and for that I cannot thank you enough.
