Things to Do in Pai, Thailand: A Week in the Thai Mountains

Nestled in the mountains of Northern Thailand, Pai sits quietly in a valley inviting you to come visit and slow down. Waterfalls, hikes, and sunsets. Pai is the perfect blend of exploring nature while recharging in town. It’s easy to get stuck here in a good way, it happened to us. Read about how we got out.

Marathon In Peru: Running The Andes For 42Forward

My second 42Forward marathon had me running a marathon in Peru. From thin air to crazy drivers, the obstacles I had to deal with were all worth it to support a local dog shelter I had volunteered at. This was making an impact at altitude.

Volunteering at a Peru Dog Rescue: My Time with Casa Viva Shelter

I love giving back while I travel, a Peru Dog Rescue felt like a good fit while I was in the area. Little did I know just how rewarding this experience would be. The piles of dog waste came with piles of love and I wouldn’t change anything about it.

42Forward Charity Runs

42Forward is my way of turning kilometers into meaningful change. Every time I run a 42 km marathon in a less-developed community, I “pay it forward” by donating 42 essential items to a local charity. It could be 42 kilograms of food, 42 books for a school, or 42 toys for children – the goal is to help the communities I visit and inspire others to do the same. I started 42Forward because travel opened my eyes to the challenges many communities face, and I wanted to do more than just pass through. I also prefer when can actually see the impact we create, instead of giving money to some organization where it may or may not end up where you want it to go. This project is about running with purpose, pushing your limits on what you think is possible, and making the world a little brighter.
